Job search process (jobsøgningsforløb) at Akademikernes A-kasse

Also called ”kontaktforløb”. When your job search process is at Akademikernes A-kasse, we are your primary contact regarding your job search. For most members, it will be the first 3 months of receiving unemployment benefits, but if you work part-time, this period will be longer. The time when your job search process passes over to the job centre depends on the number of hours you receive unemployment benefits.

When you are paid your 410th hour of unemployment benefits, your job search process will transfer to the job centre.

As payments are typically at the end of a month, most people will transition from the a-kasse to the job centre for their job search process after three months.

When your job search process transitions to the job center, it is important that you inform yourself about your first meeting with the job center. This can either be on jobnet.dk, where you will receive a deadline for when you need to book the meeting yourself, or you will receive an invitation to the meeting via Digital Post, which you can read on e-Boks, Borger.dk, or Mit.dk. Where you receive the information depends on your municipality, so check both jobnet.dk and Digital Post.

The above only applies to members registered as unemployed at jobnet.dk on or after January 1 2024.
